On this particular morning as I stepped out at around 6:30 a.m., the Holy Spirit drew my attention to the most billowy cloud formation in the sky that I'd ever seen, with beautiful streaks of pink peaking out.
I've seen plenty of dawns and sunrises, but this one was quite unlike anything that I'd ever seen before. As I type this out, I feel the confirmation that just as no two sunrises are the same, in 2024 we're going to see things we've never seen before.
Of late, the Holy Spirit has stopped me in my tracks to marvel at God's grandeur, splendour, artistry and majesty. I realized that inasmuch as God’s creation is overwhelmingly admirable and stunning, man is the zenith of God’s creation. We're the only ones who are created in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1: 26)
Let that sink in for a moment: God imparted in us with the gift of being like Himself.
What a priviledge it is that we too have this power at work within us. The moment we received the Holy Ghost, we received power  (Acts 1:8 KJV) - the same power that raised Christ from the dead and the power that was responsible for bringing to life God's decrees at creation (Genesis 1:2)
The Hebrew word for power -dunamis - has a number of definitions to it:
The dunamis power that resides in us by virtue of our nature. Because we are made in the image and likeness of God according to Genesis 1:26, we have the dunamis power of God.
This is the power for performing miracles, where Jesus said that we would do greater works than He did (John 14:12)
This is the power and influence which belongs to riches and wealth, the Deuteronomy 8:18 power to create wealth.
This is the moral power and excellence of our soul. God's grace is available that teaches us to reject ungodliness and to live sensible, upright and Godly lives (Titus 2:11-12)
This is the power and resources arising from numbers; that where 2 or more are gathered in His Name, there He is also (Matthew 18:20)
This is the power consisting in or resting upon armies, forces and hosts. We know that when we call upon Jehovah Sabaoth, the Lord of angel armies will rise up on our behalf (Psalm 148:2)
Declare with me that in 2024, regardless of what comes our way, I am not helpless. God has given me much power.
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us (Ephesians 3:20)
Remember that for 2024 and beyond, you are not powerless, because you carry the power of God within you.
