Say Yes Without A Plan

In 2023, I answered an unfamiliar call that came from a simple Instagram story, an invitation for guest bloggers.
No resume. No requirements. Just a yes.
I didn’t journal. I didn’t think I had anything worth sharing.
I wasn’t a writer, or so I thought. But I felt a tug- a divine nudge.
So I said yes. Not because I was ready but because I was willing.

Obedience will not wait for you to feel ready.
Little did I know that my simple ‘yes’ was an enrollment into a divine writing course authored not by man but by the Holy Spirit Himself.
While I was in the trenches of transition, undone and uncertain, God was doing something deeper. He gave me language I didn’t possess.
Suddenly, the wilderness I was walking through became a wellspring of words.
With each blog post, the Holy Spirit taught me to narrate my becoming.
He turned my raw process into prophetic prose.
He translated confusion into clarity.
He made me a scribe in the middle of my storm.
The Spirit will teach you all things… (John 14:26).
I look back now and barely recognize the writer because it was never just me. Each post was a map of where I’d been and a mirror of who I was becoming. Not because I was wise or gifted but because God is faithful to finish what He starts.
Being confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will complete it… (Philippians 1:6).
This final blog post is not just a farewell. It is a stone of remembrance. It's marker that says: “God met me here.”
This journey has taught me one thing with certainty: God is a finisher.
He doesn’t speak to inspire. He speaks to complete.
So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it (Isaiah 55:11).
If He said it about you, it must come to pass.
God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? (Numbers 23:19).
If He said it, He will shape you into it. He is the Potter. His hands never fail. And His Spirit will make you become everything He’s declared.
Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,” says the Lord of hosts (Zechariah 4:6).
So trust Him. Trust His process. And above all, say yes, even without a plan.
Because when God writes the story, your obedience becomes the ink.
Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us… (Ephesians 3:20).
