Why Christians Should Be Wealthy

Updated: Feb 14, 2023

Using Wealth As A Tool For Furthering God's Work On Earth

The relationship between wealth and faith is a complex one, and opinions vary greatly among Christians. However, it's widely believed that wealth can be a tool for doing good and furthering God's work on earth. Here are some reasons why Christians need to view wealth as important:

Tip #1 - Financial stability

Having wealth can provide a sense of security and stability, which can be beneficial for both the individual and their community. It allows individuals to focus on their spiritual growth and the well-being of others, without being burdened by financial worries.

"The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is slave to the lender." -Hebrews 22:7

Tip #2 - Helping others

Wealth can be used to support charitable causes and help those in need. Christians are called to be good stewards of their resources and to use them to make a positive impact on the world.

"Using Wealth as a Tool for Furthering God's Work on Earth" -Hebrews 13:16

Tip #3 - Living a righteous life

Wealth can also be a sign of God's favor and blessing. By managing their wealth wisely and ethically, Christians can demonstrate their faith and live a life that honors God.

"Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever." -1 Timothy 5:8

Tip #4 - Being a witness

Christians are called to be witnesses to the gospel and to share the love of Christ with others. Wealth can provide opportunities for Christians to share their faith and make a difference in the lives of those around them.

"A good person leaves an inheritance for their children’s children but a sinner’s wealth is stored up for the righteous." -Proverbs 13:22

Ultimately, it's important to note that wealth should never be the sole focus of a Christian's life. Rather, it should be used as a tool to serve God and further his kingdom. The Bible teaches that it's possible to be rich and to serve God, but it's also possible to be poor and to serve God. The important thing is to use whatever resources one has been given for the good of others and to honor God.

Wealth can be seen as important for Christians because it can provide financial stability, help others, enable a righteous life, and be a witness to the gospel. However, wealth should never be the primary focus of a Christian's life, and it should always be used in a way that honors God.
