How A Lack Of Faith Leads To Burnout

Did you know that the burnout you feel could be a lack of faith? Dreams become a reality when faith and works collide. The Bible tells us in James 2:36 that faith without works is dead. We often talk about the outcome of having faith but no works, but how many of us have found ourselves in a place where we’re doing all the work but didn’t have the faith to back it up? I can be honest and say I’ve been there before. Tired, burnt out, and ready to quit! But all because of a lack of faith? Yes, it’s possible.
When we lack faith behind what we’re working towards, it exposes how we don’t fully trust God with it. A lack of faith will cause us to rely heavily on our works, leading us to operate out of our strength and eventually leave God out. It may not seem like it to us because we’re still
praying and consulting God on every step, but we’re telling Him the plan and giving Him the steps instead of allowing Him to order ours.
You see, we’re in partnership with God. Yes, we play a part in working towards our dreams, but sometimes, we forget to consider the one who gave us those dreams. God sees all and knows all while we have a limited understanding.
That’s why we must have faith in Him and trust His plan. When we don’t have faith in Him or trust the plans He gives us, we work beyond our capacity, eventually leading to burnout.
If you are experiencing burnout from trying to make your dreams a reality, take a step back and check your faith. Do you really have faith in God? Do you really have faith that the steps He ordered will lead you to see the manifestation of the dream He gave you? Have you taken matters into your own hands? You thought you needed a break or even to quit, but you don’t, friend. You just need faith.
