Faith has character. It has a frequency. It can either be simple or great.
Simple faith is faith like a mustard seed- it is confident or hopeful.
Great faith has a reputation of being bold and audacious and yields a reward (Hebrews 11:2).
Simple faith just requires that you trust and believe whereas great faith requires that one has understanding and discernment of God’s will, plan and purpose for their life and seek to align to this.
When the Lord is looking for men who He can partner with to do great things, He usually increases their capacity by giving them a healthy dose of great faith.
People whose lives have modelled great faith have equity in the spirit realm - among them, the crowd of witnesses. Hebrews 11 is full of so many examples of such men.
Quick, radical obedience is the key that unlocks this level called great faith. Great faith doesn't require you to be ready to obey God or for the thing you are called to do to make full sense. You just need to be willing.
The benefits of great faith:
You'll have a destiny changing encounter with God. The woman with the issue of blood had great faith such that when she touched Jesus, He had empathy on her and He healed her (Luke 8: 43-48). Abram had great faith and had a destiny changing encounter with God which resulted in a name change and great blessings (Genesis 12:1-3)
It yields a reward. In Hebrews 11: 6 great faith pleases God to the point He rewards the believer. God rewarded Abraham for his great faith (Hebrews 11: 8-12).
It's the highway through which God’s blessings and promises travel to reach you. It is by faith that we believe that God will not change his mind about the promises and oaths He has made to us. (Hebrews 6:13-19). By faith Sarah believed God would keep His promise to her and she would have a child (Hebrews 11:11-12, Genesis 21:1-3).
Makes you become a sign and a wonder. In the book of Exodus we read that Moses was a sign and a wonder before Pharaoh, his magicians and the children of Israel because the Hand of the Lord was upon him (Job 9:10)
You operate with ease because Heaven backs you. In turn you become unstoppable and unshakable. Meshack, Shadrack and Abednego had such faith in God’s ability to deliver them from the fiery furnace that they stood fearless before King Nebuchadnezzar and refused to bow down to his idols; and Jesus Himself walked in the fire with them and they came out unscorched (Daniel 3:16-28)
May you be counted among those who had great faith and lived out their calling doing greater works than Jesus for the Kingdom of God (John 14: 12-14)
