I wanted to write you this beautiful soliloquy of encouragement. I wanted to tell you all of the things I do to feel unstoppable, so that you too, can be unstoppable- a force to be reckoned with. But as I sat and prepared to encourage you, God reminded me of Deuteronomy 4:2.

Do not add to or subtract from these commands I am giving you. Just obey the commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you.

He basically told me to sit down and be quiet. You see, I don’t need to add to God’s word. Or subtract anything from it. You don’t need MY interpretation and instructions. You need GOD’S interpretation and instructions.

To become unstoppable, you simply spend time with God daily.

Now, you may by thinking, “that sounds cool, but HOW?”

Let’s remember that God places His Word above His own name (Psalm 138:2).

Everything He wants to tell us is already in His word. All of the ways in which He wants to guide us into greatness, is already in His word.

Where do I start? How do I pull out these strategies that Dr. Briana keeps talking about? What if I don’t understand the Bible like that?

Don’t worry, beloved. The Holy Spirit is here to guide you into all truth and tell you about your future (John 16:13)

Try this 5 step guide to help you become unstoppable:

1)     Praise and worship: You can play and/or sing your favorite gospel song. Praising God puts us into a sacred space of gratefulness. It opens our hearts and minds to receive what He is waiting to tell us.

2)     Repent: Ask God to forgive you for your sins. Since we are reading the Bible daily, I like to focus on the sins of the last 24 hours. Ask Him to reveal to you the ones that you aren’t aware of and the ones that you may not even consider sin.

3)     Ask: Ask Him for an understanding of the scripture that you're about to read. “Lord, I’m about to read your Word. Open my eyes to see and my ears to hear what you are telling me today according to Mark 4:9. Open up this passage to me in a way that I’ve never seen before. Blow my mind God! I pray that THIS word is a seed planted in my heart. That it grows even when I'm not thinking about it, so that I can eat of the tree when I need it and that I can share the fruit with others when they need it too.”

4)     Read: You may choose to read a topic of study (ex: If I’m grieving I google “what does the Bible say about grief?” Or “who experienced grief in the Bible?” And I read that person’s story). Or you may choose to read a scripture that comes to mind. Read it in a few different translations. Then use either the Concordance in the Blue Letter Bible app or Strong’s Concordance and break down every word. Once you have an understanding of each word, rewrite the scripture with your name in it.

5)     Meditate: Think about that scripture or story periodically throughout the day. God will illuminate that thing for you. It’s going to make so much sense that you will never be able to UNSEE it.

The more you do these 5 steps, the more you hear God.

The more you hear God, the more strategy and specific steps He’ll reveal to you.

Your discernment will be increased, and you will be unstoppable!

Now walk out here like the child of God that you are. Remember, your Daddy made the whole universe. And you are His inheritance! Go get it.
