The Lord recently asked me to step out in obedience, take a leap of faith and shift locations again. This particular sudden move ushered me into the deep end of His will, purpose and plan for my life. I do love travelling and adventure but this move scared the living daylights out of me!! I wept for two days straight in this new and unfamiliar place.
I know that I am operating within the Lord's plan and purpose for my life. This unfamiliar territory is mine to occupy and I will see and experience the numerous blessings that He has lined up for me.
This sounds nice right?
Well, it did until the Lord recently highlighted a weakness of mine that would be an impediment to effectively stewarding His plan for my life. The Holy Spirit revealed through prophecy that overly analyzing the cost of my obedience and faith could end up paralysing me.
A paralysed person is partly or wholly incapable of movement. I can't imagine the possibility of not fully walking in the Lord's plan and purpose for my life. I am determined not to break the pot at the doorstep because it's not about me, it's about generations and people who are waiting for me to become (Romans 8:19)
The Spirit of God revealed to me my weakness to redeem me. So the instruction from the Lord to me to redeem me was to jump anyway because He is there to catch me (Psalm 145:14, Psalm 37:23-24, Isaiah 41:10)
Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you an area of weakness that will be an impediment to stewarding the Lord's purpose and plan for your life. It's important that you are aware of this.
Work with the Holy Spirit to overcome your weakness (Romans 8: 26-27) and to help you properly steward God's plan for your life.
As we get celebrate the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ this weekend, may we remember it is because Jesus stepped out in obedience- even unto death- that we're able to enjoy the benefits of the finished work of the Cross. We're victorious because Jesus faithfully stewarded to completion God's plans and purposes over His life.
