What If God Is Trying to Introduce You to the Real You?

Dear Friend,

Have you ever wondered if the person that you see in the mirror is the full version of who God created you to be? What if the limitations you’ve accepted, the roles you’ve settled into, or even the insecurities you’ve carried are not your true identity?

Before we exit 2024, what if God is trying to introduce you to the real you—the one created with authority, dominion, and a divine purpose?

The Bible reminds us in Romans 8:17 that we are co-heirs with Christ, which means that you have access to all the power, authority, and dominion that Jesus has. But how often do we live as though we’re just getting by? How often do we shrink back, forgetting that God has seated us with Christ in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6)?

You know just like I do that God didn’t create you to live beneath your privilege. Instead, He made you to thrive, to rule, and to steward His Kingdom on earth. But to walk in that authority, you first have to see yourself the way He sees you.

Unfortunately, when we accept fear, doubt, or passivity, we unknowingly live beneath our rights as children of God. We then stop speaking life into our situations, and forget that Jesus reminds us of our power when He instructs us to speak to the mountains in our lives.

Ultimately, if you're ready to change your life, you must ask yourself the following questions:

  • Are my words reflecting the authority that I have in Christ?

  • Am I showing up as the person who God has called me to be, or am I settling for less?

To be clear, this isn’t about striving—it’s about stepping into the authority you already have.

Think about it: Luke 10:19 tells us, “I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.”

But that authority requires action.

Are you using it?

If you're not, It’s time to take an honest look at yourself before 2025:

  • Have you been willfully living beneath your identity as a co-heir to the Kingdom?

  • Are there areas where fear or doubt has held you back?

  • What would it look like if you fully embraced the authority that God has given you?

This month, don't let discomfort stop you from stepping into something new because God is not in the business of leaving you where you are. I believe that He wants to stretch you, grow you, and show you who you truly are.

God isn’t trying to make you into someone else because He’s revealing who you’ve always been.

You are bold, confident, and equipped to legislate in the spirit. The real you knows that the promises of God are “Yes” and “Amen” (2 Corinthians 1:20) and that His Word never returns void (Isaiah 55:11).

This is your moment. Stop shrinking back.
