Submitting To Spiritual Authority

I asked God what He wanted me to share with you all today, and He immediately began speaking to me about supporting the vision He gave to His daughter, Briana.

I hope that this year—and every year—you will take the Let There Be Challenge seriously. I pray that you’ll approach it with all your heart, working diligently and wholeheartedly (Colossians 3:23-24), and following the instructions that Briana has so faithfully laid out for us. During this challenge, she is our spiritual leader, prayerfully and obediently guiding us through this process.

Hebrews 13:17 tells us to have confidence in our leaders and to submit to their authority because they watch over our souls.

We can trust Dr. Bri as our leader, not only because she stands firmly on the Word of God but also because she embodies the qualities of a godly leader, as described in 1 Timothy 3—living wisely, exercising self-control, and maintaining a good reputation. If you ever have any doubts about who she serves or whether God speaks through her, I encourage you to visit her YouTube channel. It’s clear that God speaks to and through her.

In her recent teaching watch it here, Dr. Bri outlines how to write your decrees and why it’s so important. If you haven’t yet listened to this message, I highly encourage you to take the time to do so.

5 Simple Instructions for the Let There Be Challenge:

  1. Don’t wait until the last minute to begin writing your decrees.

  2. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal His plan and purpose for your life going forward.

  3. Physically write out your decrees.

  4. Take a picture of your decrees for convenience, and keep them on your phone.

  5. Recite them daily, whenever you can. The time of day doesn’t matter.

  6. Create categories to help you write all 40 decrees.

I’m really excited about this year’s challenge! However, I must confess that I didn’t complete last year’s challenge as well as I'd have liked. The Bible tells us in Colossians 3:23-24, 'Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.'

I won’t go into detail about which steps I didn’t complete last year, but I will be honest: I didn’t follow all the steps. I thought it wouldn’t hurt if I did it 'this way', but it DOES! The instructions that God gave us through Dr Bri really DO matter. The steps she’s laid out for us are not just instructions; they are a blueprint for growth, alignment, and deeper connection with God’s plan for our lives.

Let’s reflect on the Ten Commandments. In Exodus 20:1 and 31:18, we learn that God gave direct instructions to Moses for the benefit of all His people. Similarly, the Let There Be challenge is a message Dr. Bri has received from God for all of us. It's not our job to question why or try to figure out a better way; it’s our responsibility to follow the instructions as given.

As we embark on the Let There Be Challenge together, I encourage you to approach this prayerfully and with a sober heart. Seek the Lord for your personal instructions, and continue to obey and submit to the authority He has placed in Dr. Bri.

Let’s commit to this challenge with the understanding that our obedience in the little things matters, and positions us to receive the fullness of what God has prepared for us. Remember, this is not just a challenge—it's an opportunity to grow spiritually and partner with God's word to frame our world.

Let us walk forward in confidence, knowing that as we do our part, God is doing His. Keep pressing on, and trust that your obedience counts.

God bless you as you dive fully into 2024's Let There Be challenge.
