I Think It's Time For You To Get To Know (The Real) Me

Dear Friend,

I think it's time for you to get to know me. The real me.

Some of you may have been rocking with me since 2018 when I first started to embrace God's will for my life. While others may have started following in 2022 with the "Let There Be Challenge" or the recently concluded "Builder's Challenge." However long you've been in relationship with me, I want to thank you for journeying with me; I genuinely appreciate it.

For June, I've decided to take a different approach with my content (that's really not content). I've decided to take a break from my public-facing activities, such as teaching on YouTube, and posting on Instagram and Facebook. To be honest, I've been tired for a while now, more specifically, since 2021, but because I'm high functioning, sometimes I don't do the best job at sitting my behind down somewhere. So, therefore, I've decided to do just that--sit down.

The unique thing about this public-facing break I'm on is that I've decided to take you along. So this journey will be different than any other you've seen me highlight. I won't be advocating for you to get your money together. I'm not going to encourage you to continue believing in God. I'm not even going to tell you about my latest fashions.

What I am going to do, though, is talk to you.

I'm going to let you in on some thoughts of mine as I journey with God through this season of transition. I will let you eavesdrop on some conversations with God, my friends, and therapist. Ultimately, I will let you get to know Bri. Not Dr. Briana Whiteside. But Bri, the homegirl, single woman, and Believer who is just trying to follow God soberly.

I think it's time you hear these conversations from me. While these conversations may be better suited for a podcast, I don't want to be on screen right now. I want to draw into God more. Draw into me and my thoughts more. Fast more. Pray more. Be present more. And I'd like to take you on this journey with me.

Who knows, maybe you'll learn something new about yourself, too.

More soon,

-B
