A Note to My Weary Children

Updated: Nov 12, 2023

Thus saith the Lord your Maker, your Father and your God,

I know your thoughts before you think them and every word on your tongue (Psalm 139:1-4)

I see you eagerly awaiting the manifestation of My promises to you of freedom, restoration, abundance, marriage, children, healing, deliverance, open doors, acceleration, promotion- you name them

As you stand on the precipice of your promises, you are weary, disappointed and even questioning your sanity. You want to run from Me and My presence but don’t you know that My intense love for you will pursue you in the depth and in darkness? (Psalm 139:7-12)

You’ve been at this walk for a long minute now and you feel like your labor is in vain.

You're livid because in my ‘lateness’, I missed your deadlines and let your beloved Lazarus die. My lengthy process of molding you to become has you feeling overwhelmed and shortchanged. You want me to take the cup of uncertainty and suffering away from you.

Your heart is broken and your spirit is crushed but be assured of this- I am with you, I never left (Psalm 34:18, Psalm 147:3)

As long as there is night there must be day (Psalm 30:5)

Call upon me in the day of trouble and I shall rescue you and you will honor Me (Psalm 50:15)

I am sending your midwives to help you birth (Exodus 1: 17)

I am with you, even as you walk through the valley of the shadow of death. My rod and My staff are there to comfort you (Psalm 23:5)

Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28)
